OK several weeks ago I took Ashlynn to a new doctor for her "tummy problems".
She was so nice and listened to every concern I had. She let me go on and on about the symptoms and as soon as I finished she said...MILK. I am sure I looked at her like "HUH?" She said you have her on Soy milk but that also has milk protein in it, lets get an xray to make sure she doesn't have a blockage and go from there. Still keep the gastric appt. and don't make any changes so that in a month when she goes to the appt. she has the same symptoms. I was almost relieved to here her tell me milk may be the problem. She also said we can send her to an allergist after that appointment but if it is only a milk protein sensitivity it will not show up. She seemed to be very positive her problem all along is just simply MILK.

I went home that day with a sense of relief thinking OK we are getting somewhere then I started thinking I have to wait a month to find out. I told Terry all about it and then decided I am taking this in my own hands and taking her off of all milk products for 2 weeks to see if we have any changes. You have to understand she has been so miserable and I felt like she was in pain or something.
So at the end of the two weeks we noticed every symptom was gone! It has now been a month and she sleeps thru the night for the first time since she was about 9mths old. She is very happy and has even gained weight. I still don't know if it is a milk allergy or sensitivity but at this point I am just so excited to have her a "normal" toddler again.
It is AMAZING the change it has made. If you have no idea what I am talking about with her symptoms if you go thru my different post you can find the details.

We did take her off of gluten and thought we had improvement. Most of the gluten free foods also are milk free. So we have continued with the gluten free also just because...who really needs those extra chemicals anyways?
