Yesterday Lauren and I had a visit at Texas State University for Bobcat Day. Let me just say we had TONS of fun!
Originally we were supposed to get up at 3a.m to leave by 4 but for some reason I slept right on thru the alarm 3 times! Can you believe that? I can. So we started getting ready at 4 and ran out the door by 4:25. I was a little nervous because it was storming and nasty out. I will just tell you by the time we went thru downtown I was about ready to turn around and go home. We had a road detour that either of us knew a thing about and wondered what the heck we would do with a road closure that diverted us thru the 5Th ward in Houston. Yes you did see me put 5Th ward. I had no idea how to get to the correct road especially at 4a.m.
Lauren pulled out my phone and we relied on my navigation that has had me lost so many times!
4 hours later we made it! To our surprise it was a very crisp 44 degrease and we had no choice but to make a very fast stop and grab jackets.

We arrived at the campus without a second to spare. It was so beautiful! Right in the heart of San Marcos is this beautiful school with the river running by. I can not even begin to tell you how overwhelmed we both were after walking into the Student center. We didn't know what to expect and we soon learned we would be walking...a whole lot! We sat thru orientation and started laughing and just couldn't stop. I had tears in my eyes and started turning red. Our entire trip has been this way. So as the day went by we walked and walked from building to building. We could have taken the bus but we thought...who needs the bus when you can walk. After 4+ hours of touring, looking at dorms,up hill, down hill around the hill we were so worn out and just wanted to sit down.

We left the school without even seeing half of it but we "needed" to go eat at the Grist Mill.
At about 7:30 we decided to head home. For some reason it only took us 2 and a half hours to get home but it felt like hours! We were so tired, sore and worn out.

I think we had some really good bonding time. I hate to say but we didn't take any pictures at all. Why? Because I didn't want to haul around a camera. Yes I said that!

But just incase you have never seen this School I will add a few pictures.
