Let me just clarify on my previous post.....
For the most part we do eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. We are not total junk food eaters. I always make the kids breakfast (including the ones I keep) which is normally eggs, sausage or oatmeal. Then at lunch I never give them processed meats...we have a meat and vegetables. Occasionally I let them have mac n cheese or lasagna from a can. I hate doing that and always feel a little guilty. For snacks I try to do apples, raisens, cheese, crackers stuff like that. I really really want to walk totally away from cans, bags and boxes. Make sense?
If you are wondering....my tummy problems are painful. Only at night I have a terrible pain, breathtaking pain. I can control it with diet but here lately I am nauseated at least 1~2 times a week. Yes I have been to the doctor and its most likely my gallbladder. If I can control it then I should!

As of today we are making changes! Hopefully good changes. We have decided to change our diet and see what happens. Our goal is to only have raw fruits and vegetables with 1 meat a day at dinner. For the most part we do that BUT Terry eats fast food at work everyday and I do find myself snacking on chips, cereal, fruit snacks(we have taken fruit snacks out of the house months ago)and other junk. When we are in a hurry we sometimes eat fast food in the evenings but I always feel GROSS after! Anytime we go out to eat I get sick or he gets sick.
We all seem to have some kind of tummy issue in this house and I am hoping by ONLY having fruits, vegetables and 1 meat a day it will help or go away. My plan is juice! Fresh fruit smoothies or vegetable. It shouldn't be to hard once we adjust to not stuffing our self at every meal but as of right now I feel as if I may starve. We just had our first fruit juice/smoothie for lunch and halfway thru mine my gag reflex kicked in. I know I can do this! We all can!
My long term goal is to get rid of stomach problems and LAUREN'S headaches (mine too) and also getting us into shape while staying healthy. If you remember back a few months ago...maybe a year ago when Ashlynn had such bad problems we went thru the gluten free diet with her...I SWEAR BY IT! When I started reading more and more about food and how it is processed to last longer I was shocked. It can't be good for you! It isn't good for you!
SO BYE BYE JUNK FOOD,GREASE,FAT,AND PROCESSED FOODS!
Wish us luck! I am going to keep this updated on how we do!
I have to add.....as I finished this up I said "come on Nick lets go out and play" his reply was "wait momma we need to eat real food first" HUUHUHUHUHUH

WOW!
I have now figured out it is hard for me to Blog in the Summer. We are hardly inside or sitting still and when we are I am making lunch or snacks. I can't believe Summer ends in 4 weeks. I am just not ready. Part of me feels like we have not done anything fun the Summer or taken a trip but the other part of me is exhausted from all this running around. Then there is the heat....UGH! I don't even need to say much about it because we are all experiencing the HEAT.
Another "issue" that prevents me from this lately...ASHLYNN! Every time I sit down to blog she grabs my hands. Literally grabs them and pulls them away. She is a very hands on demanding girl. I am not kidding! She is going thru this stage that is driving me insane! She refers to herself as "the baby" and will say "mommy the baby needs a drink", "the baby is hungry" and so on....very annoying but we are not catering to it. She wants to be "the baby" so bad. I am ready for her to be 3!
I have also made a page on Facebook for my Sewing. I figure if I have a talent I should share it. I am so slow getting it started but it is all coming together. I am very excited about it. Look me up at Cupcakes and Lollipops Boutique on Facebook.
Nick has been going to Vacation Bible School. BIG step for me to drop him off with COMPLETE STRANGERS but I did it and he LOVES IT! He is having so much fun. I was not sure how he would do considering the school year we had but so far so good.
Well I must run and get my day started....lots to do today!

Busy as a Bee! That is the best way to describe our little world. Seems like School will be starting in a month and I am suddenly scrambling to fit in Check ups,Dental appts, and everything else I try to take care of in the Summer.
I took three of the kids for dental cleanings this week and two of them did great! One...not so much. She refused. Can you guess who? ASHLYNN. She was having no part at all. Owe well maybe next time.
So they talked to Nick about flossing. He normally will floss. I am sure it isn't perfect but he tries. Anyways last night he gave Ashlynn a huge string of it and as I rushed in yelling NOOOOOO DON'T SWALLOW THAT! Guess what? SHE SWALLOWED IT! UGHHHHH that child! I swear. So hopefully it passes right on thru and doesn't dance around her belly! Speaking of Ashlynn's tummy.....she is completely back to milk and has had no problems at all! I LOVE IT! I swear it is so hard to keep milk or milk products away from a person. She hated the "cow" milk and refused to drink it saying it was "yucky". But she is now drinking it and fine. We shall see....
I am very proud of Natalie! She has taken a few days out of her Summer (we didn't make her or ask her) to volunteer at a church that has VBS. She LOVES IT! She has had so much fun working with the younger kids.

WOW HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I can not believe she is FINALLY 13! I feel like she has been 12 for 5 years but on the other hand it seems like time is flying by! I need a remedy to slow down time or something. She is such a great kid and I am so excited she is going into the 8th grade. I sure can't wait to watch her games this year!!
She is definatly the spunky wild crazy girl. I love her personality and how she can make everyone in the room laugh. I also love the fact when she notices someone in need she runs over to help. I often see her helping people in the store when others just walk by. Makes me happy that she has such a kind heart!
I LOVE 4th of July! I think that has to be one of my favorite holidays! You don't buy gifts,it is hot and I love celebrating! The red, white and blue is also one of my favorite things.

This year we went to the Parade in our town. I get so teary when I see all the police and fire trucks. I have NO IDEA WHY! But it was great to see so many people come to this event.
